Welcome to Milamex

Founded in 1964 by Juan M. Isáis and his wife Elisabeth, the Latin America Mission of Mexico (Milamex) is a mission driven by servants of Christ working to see God’s love and message of salvation permeate Mexico and the greater Latin American world. With millions living without a true sense of identity or purpose, we seek to share the truth of Christ in a relevant and practical way. The objective of Milamex has been from the beginning “not to be served but to serve”.

What do we do?

Over the years, Milamex has been instrumental in the growth and development of the evangelical church in Latin America and its relationship to the State.

Today Milamex operates a wide range of inter-dependent ministry resources for the Christian church throughout Mexico and to some extent all of Latin America. These include:

  • Courses and Special Events — Periodically we hold various evangelistic, pastoral and educational events.
  • Publications:
    • Prisma — A Christian family magazine published for almost 40 years every other month.
    • Noticiero Milamex — A monthly newspaper bringing news related to Christianity, including evangelism, missions, and the persecuted Church throughout the world.
    • Milamex Ediciones — Book publishing ministry, with a variety of Christian books written in the Latin American context by and for hispanics.
  • Evangelismo a Fondo (EVAF) (Evangelism in Depth) — A movement that helps motivate individuals to share their faith individually and together with other churches and believers, widening the reach of the gospel to go beyond the pulpit and into the community.
  • Christian Camps — Milamex has supported the development of two beautiful Christian campsites. Kikotén, in the mountains of Huitzilac, in the state of Morelos, and Kikomar, on the Gulf of Mexico near Tuxpan, Veracruz.

How do we keep going?

The harvest is plenty and the workers are few. However, the good news is that there are ways you can help, either by prayer, by giving financially, or by rolling up your sleeves and coming alongside us to work!

Who are we?

  • Milamex is evangelical and inter-denominational. That is, we are a family of Christian brothers and sisters from all evangelical traditions, united around the saving faith we share through the death and resurrection of Jesus. As part of the same body and family of Christ, we seek to emphasize our unity rather than our differences for the glory of Christ.
  • We are a ministry of servants that seeks to glorify the name of Christ by what he can do through us. We each find our identity in Christ and strive to be a blessing in His name.
  • We seek to be culturally relevant. We want to show how Jesus continues to transform lives today. With cutting edge Spanish publications, written in a Latin American context, camps, events, courses, evangelism movilization strategies and other endeavors, we seek to be a ministry relevant to today’s Latin Americans.
